Another Westbury housing scheme
Square Bay Developments are preparing a planning application for new homes in Westbury. The site, which was identified for housing and a new road in the West Wilts Local Plan and is now allocated in Wiltshire's Core Strategy, lies to the south of Westbury Railway Station.
The proposals will include up to 300 new houses including affordable homes. A new road bridge over the Westbury Avoiding Line will also be included, providing a link road through the site linking Mane Way with Station Road, in accordance with Core Strategy requirements.
In addition the plans will see the improvement and management of woodland around the sailing lake, as well as assisting Westbury Sailing Club to develop new and improved facilities.
A public exhibition of the proposals will be held at The Laverton on Thursday 24th September from 3pm to 7pm. Members of the public are invited to view the plans and speak to members of the design team ahead of a planning application being submitted.
