'Bus Users UK' joins fight against Tory cuts

26 Feb 2016

The organisation will be running a number of Your Bus Matters events over the next few weeks to highlight the proposed cuts. They want to encourage residents to come along to have their say and complete the consultation documents.

Events will be held in Trowbridge, Devizes and Warminster. The Trowbridge one is March 17th, 1030 to 1330 in Fore Street. Look out for the bus in the pedestrianised area.

BUUK says, "It's so important that we all do what we can to protect rural bus services."

The final date for the Wiltshire consultation is 4 April.

The organisation points out that although home to school bus services are not affected, young people should have their say because they may use buses for extra curricular activities, social events, future travel to college, weekends etc. It's important to try to preserve a sustainable future network for Wiltshire's young people.
