Core Strategy debacle reaches Rudloe

4 Mar 2014

Wiltshire Council's move from a plan-led system to a planless system is taking another step forward with an outline application for 88 houses in Rudloe - on land outside the village boundary and not allocated for housing - likely to be given permission.

The land concerned is south of Bradford Road opposite the primary school. In addition to the housing, 1.2Ha of employment land will be included. Neither Corsham nor Box parish councils have objected to the plans, though 63 letters of objection have been received from residents.

Planning officers are recommending approval, subject to legal agreements and conditions, when the application goes to the Northern Area Planning Committee on Wednesday March 12th.
