Work is due to be carried out to "deal with" the pigeon population at County Hall and its impact on the building.

High reach access equipment will be used to help remove detritus that has accumulated on window ledges, gutters and other roosting sites.

The work will be carried out to the entire front elevation of County Hall, the Mortimer Street side, and part of the rear elevation. Work is due to start on 1 March and is expected to take approximately three weeks.

Recently the building was clothed in scaffolding while extensive repairs to the roofs took place.

Picture - Wiltshire Council's pigeon consultation revealed unanimous opposition to the plans.
