Faster driving in Dilton Marsh and Upton Scudamore

7 Jun 2013

Wiltshire Council has announced its intention to increase some speed limits. The A3098 at Tower Hill will change from 30 to 40mph, and the A350 through Upton Scudamore will have the 50mph limit removed so the road becomes national speed limit.

Meanwhile part of the A350 at West Ashton will have its limit reduced from 50 to 40, and in Warminster the Bath Road approach will be reduced to 50mph from the present national limit.

During the consultation period a number of objections were received to the proposals from residents and parish councils, but these were not able to influence the council's decision.
