Friends of the Earth bee campaign

21 Mar 2013

On Friday the EU made a last minute decision to delay the vote on banning some of the worst bee-killing chemicals (1).

Victory for bees looked likely so it could be seen as a setback. But it gives us until June to get even more people to back the Bee Cause and show just how many of us want to reverse years of bee decline.

And protecting bees from pesticides isn't the only way to save them.

This spring FoE are launching the biggest Bee Cause challenge yet - covering the country in bee-friendly wildflowers. To help you join in they've created a free to download guide to some really important sources of food for bees.

They've also put together an entire Bee Saver Kit to help you with the challenge. The kit contains seeds, a garden planner, a step-by-step guide to saving bees, and a bee identification poster. Please give £15 or whatever you can to get your special Bee Saver Kit.

So let's cover the country in wildflowers and reverse years of bee decline.
