Government consults on Trans-Wilts railway

The consultation is about the possibility of designating the Swindon to Westbury line as a Community Railway.
The line has been an outstanding success story since the launch of an improved service a few years ago. The latest proposals, which outline possible future improvements such as an extended service to Southampton airport, can be seen here .
