Housing scheme for Warminster generates opposition

A proposal from Green Square Housing to build up to 175 dwellings on land north of Grovelands Way has already seen objections submitted to Wiltshire Council by concerned residents. The outline application, submitted on 27th October, includes land allocated for ponds on either side of the housing. However the objectors point out that the site is on a flood plain, so development could cause problems for the new housing itself as well as the existing residential areas.
