Ian West's Sponsored Bike Ride Success

Wiltshire Councillor Ian West completed a sponsored mountain bike ride on Sunday 16th August across the ward he represents takeing in nine villages Tilshead, Orcheston, Shrewton, Winterbourne Stoke, Berwick St James, Stapleford, Great Wishford, The Langfords, and Wylye, the distance was approx 25 miles.

Ian completed this challenge to raising just over a £1000 in much needed funds for the two day centres in the ward one at Shrewton and one in Steeple Langford. The funds raised will go a long way to assist in the vital work these two centres do for their communities providing care, assistance and much needed support for the most elderly residents in these villages and the wider valley communities. Ian said "I am delighted to be able to do something to help these day centres in the great work they do for our area and am immensely grateful to the people who so generously supported me in raising this fantastic amount of money."
