Queen's Park in Swindon

Recent news that the South Swindon Parish officers are looking at the policy of saving money by keeping Queen's Park and Town Gardens open 24 hours have met with complete opposition by your Parish councillors Toby Robson and Stan Pajak.

Stan who is also the chair of the Queen's Park community council says "This would be crazy and open up the parks to all sorts of abuse and vandalism not to mention the danger of people staggering home at night through Queen's Park and falling in the lake. Both parks are special to the people of Swindon as green escapes and part of our heritage opening through them through the night cannot be allowed to happen."
