Lib Dems secure Town Council by-election success

Cllr Vanessa Fiorelli

The second of two Town Council by-elections in Wiltshire this week saw Lib Dem Vanessa Fiorelli win the vacant Melksham Town Council South seat.

The by-election, held after the sad passing of Lib Dem councillor Andy Hinchcliffe, saw the Lib Dems secure victory ahead of the Conservatives in second place.

Success in Melksham followed Lib Dem Adrian Foster's narrow defeat in the Calne North Town Council by-election the night before.
