Plans going in for Trowbridge Hospital replacement

NHS Property Services are due to submit a detailed application for their 'integrated health care centre' on Land North East of Trowbridge Community Hospital, Seymour Road in Trowbridge.

The outline application has already been permitted.

The applicants say: "The new facility will provide ... additional capacity for primary care services, replace the existing Trowbridge Community Hospital, and enable extended provision of integrated health care services in the locality. A new modern healthcare facility will also enable clinicians to deliver ... patient care in an enhanced environment."

They hope to begin construction in 2023.

Residents will be able to comment on the application via the normal planning process.
