RUH plans to improve parking

5 Jul 2011

In tandem with its move towards Foundation Trust status, the Royal United Hospital in Bath has published plans for better parking at the site.

Currently parking for hospital users and visitors is limited, and surrounding streets have had residents' parking schemes introduced to stop overflow parking.

The RUH say that the Princess Anne maternity unit car park will be redesigned to provide an additional 83 spaces, the patient drop-off area in front of the main entrance will be enlarged, and new parking areas will be laid out to the east of the entrance with 368 spaces altogether.

RUH have not said when the works will be done. If all goes well they hope to become a Foundation Trust by April 2012.
