Sample welcomes Wiltshire Council review of Real Time Passenger Information System

28 Aug 2010

Salisbury Liberal Democrat Councillor Paul Sample has welcomed Wiltshire Council's review of the Real Time Passenger Information System - to be discussed at the Council's Environment Committee on 7th September.

He said: "Having seen the introduction of the Real Time Passenger Information System on London Transport, when I was working there, I am a long time supporter of passenger information, and supported its introduction in Salisbury right from the start.

"However Salisbury's Real Time Passenger Information System has been failing the traveling public because it is often inaccurate. New and better systems are now available and these should be carefully considered.

"We need to improve the passenger information and restore confidence in the system."
