Cash-strapped Wiltshire Council, where everybody matters, has announced drastic cuts to services for young people, with the aim of reducing the £3million budget by 20%.

The cuts were confirmed at a meeting of the Conservative 'Cabinet' on Tuesday September 13th. To see the report and the so-called 'Commissioning Strategy' see

This follows a limited consultation over the summer on the options WC had put forward to achieve the cuts.

Earlier threats to close and sell off existing youth centres have been deferred, and the council has agreed to stagger the cuts over two years. Youth Centres will also have to find more ways of raising money to help the council.
