The Muddy Duck is dead. Long live the Kings Arms.

27 Aug 2016

As of Thursday September 1st Monkton Farleigh villagers will take over the day to day running of their village pub. The pub will revert to its previous name of The Kings Arms and in a unique experiment will be staffed by volunteers as a community facility.

The 'opening night' will be on Thursday from 7.30pm. It's hoped over the winter to hold events such as quiz nights. The pub won't be serving food.

Here's a message previously circulated to Monkton Farleigh villagers:

The King' Arms

Village takeover

From the beginning of September, The Muddy Duck will be handing the keys of the King's Arms to the village for the remainder of the lease.
