Tory's falsely claim they warned of Brexit job losses!
Andrea Leadsom, one of the main proponents of Brexit, now claims people were explicitly told by the leave side that they may lose their jobs and that a no-deal Brexit was a real possibility.
This is completely false. People were consistently told there was "no downside", there would only be "sunny uplands" and that the EU countries would come running to the UK begging for a deal, in fact, offering the UK the very best deal.
People were told that leaving the EU would slash bureaucracy and red tape, increase peoples wages, result in cheaper food and provide more money for the NHS, (yes they explicitly said that in videos). None of these things were true then or are true now.
As we stand at the edge of a no-deal Brexit the assertions made by Vote Leave, like almost every other promise made by the Brexit side, are shown to be nothing more than lies designed to manipulate the electorate over the line.
