Trowbridge leads on driving test passes

Trowbridge has overtaken Westbury as the Wiltshire test centre with the highest pass rate, according to the latest government statistical bulletin. Pass rates are gradually rising nationally, with a success rate of 51% for males and 44% for females.

Figures for the county sites in the current financial year, with 2013/14 figures in brackets, are:

Chippenham: Male 54%, Female 51%, Total 52% (51%; 47% 49%)

Trowbridge: Male 66%, Female 54%, Total 60% (54%; 53% 53%)

Salisbury: Male 57%, Female 52%, Total 54% (56%; 50% 53%)

Swindon: Male 61%, Female 51%, Total 56% (57%; 52% 54%)

Westbury: Male 52%, Female 51%, Total 52% (56%; 53% 55%)
