Trowbridge Library open / Is Trowbridge too small?

The new library is bigger than the combined areas of the two libraries it replaces, with more stock and longer opening hours. More than 40,000 books are available from 8:30am to at least 5:30pm every weekday. The state-of-the-art library has free WiFi, as well as public computers.
The children's area features a book train and a hideaway seat and an improved teen area. There is window seating for those who wish to browse the newspapers, a large local studies space as well as an express zone for people in a hurry.
42 parking spaces at the front of County Hall are allocated for visitor parking including for library customers. // var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-18349619-3']); _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'none']); _gaq.push(['_setAllowLinker', true]); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? Your say: "The new library - excellent - but the glass doors leading to the main atrium are a deliberate insult to the people of Trowbridge. The names of the Wiltshire towns are etched into the glass - Salisbury is huge as is Tisbury, Bradford is middle sized, and Trowbridge in the smallest font. Deliberately undermining and demeaning the County town. This provocative act by WC detracts from what is otherwise an excellent development. It is insensitive and undermines the perception of the new County Hall for local people - who will be the majority of those coming through the doors. A major error of judgement. The ridiculously small size of the writing or Trowbridge - the County Town - is both crass and insensitive. Especially as the people of Trowbridge and the surrounding area have to go through those doors to access the new library." Trowbridge resident
