Tutton Hill HGV traffic to be debated

The issue of heavy goods vehicles driving up and getting stuck on Tutton Hill is to be discussed again at the Colerne Community Area Transport Group Meeting in September.

Cllr Brian Mathew along with Colerne parish councillors has been trying to get the issue resolved by having weight and width restrictions imposed on vehicles attempting the climb. "This is the only way that the police can be empowered to take any action once an HGV is spotted on the route, which is so narrow at the top that even ambulances can have problems", said Dr Mathew.
