Wage growth: Conservative cost of living nightmare confirmed

Today's ONS stats show that UK wage growth has failed to keep pace with the rising cost of living. Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesperson Christine Jardine MP said: "Today's figures confirm the Conservative cost of living nightmare facing millions of UK families. "People are rightly angry with the Chancellor for refusing to throw them a lifeline when their incomes are being squeezed. "Rishi Sunak should stop ignoring people's pain and slash VAT, putting an average of £600 into the pockets of every UK family."
