Westbury hospital site

The outline application from PlanningSphere Ltd to build up to 60 houses on the site of the former Westbury Hospital went to planning committee on Wednesday August 10th. The scheme has attracted strong criticism in the town, both over the loss of the site as a potential health facility and over its suitability for housing.

WC planning officers recommend permission, but the committee decided to defer a decision until they'd had a site meeting.
