Wiltshire Council is considering three-weekly bin collections

14 Oct 2017

In response to a question from Marlborough councillor Nick Fogg WC has admitted it's looking at other councils who have introduced collections of residual waste on a three-weekly rota:

"Wigan Council and some of the Greater Manchester waste collection authorities have introduced three weekly (sic)* collections of non-recycled waste. East Devon District Council now collects non-recycled waste every three weeks and North Devon District Council is carrying out three weekly collections of non-recycled waste on a trial basis. The council will monitor the impact of these service changes and ensure that this is reported to members when considering any future changes to the waste and recycling collection service for Wiltshire residents."

* WC illiteracy. They don't mean three weekly collections they mean three-weekly collections.
