Wiltshire Council not supporting speedwatch

10 Mar 2017

The speedwatch scheme has been very successful in Wiltshire, with hundreds of volunteers out protecting their villages with the support of the police. When a speedwatch scheme starts signs have to be put up to warn drivers. WC says it will no longer supply these, so the costs will fall on the local community.

A small thing perhaps, but symptomatic of the attitude of the Tory administration in County Hall. They're happy to take the credit when volunteers step forward, but won't give any practical help. They don't mind spending a fortune on self-glorifying publicity, but won't allow funding for real action to help real people.

It's time to vote them out.
