Wiltshire Council's close relationship with Hills Waste continues

19 Jan 2016

At a cabinet meeting this morning (19 January) it was agreed for Hills Waste Solutions to take on the waste and recycling collection contract for Wiltshire from 1 August 2017. The company will also continue to run the Household Recycling Centres from this date. The decision means all residents' household and garden waste and all recyclables will be managed by the one contractor.

There will be changes to the way our household waste is collected: black boxes will be used for glass collection only and blue lidded bins will take all other recyclables including a wider selection of plastics.

The new contracts will run for eight years with the option to extend each contract for a further 8 years.
