In May, voters have the chance to change. Vote Liz Webster for Wiltshire Police & Crime Commissioner a credible choice for Wiltshire PCC.

When it comes to government support for the Police force, Wiltshire is one of the worst funded areas.

During his tenure as Police and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson has been lobbying to get this changed. He's also increased our Council Tax as much as possible in an attempt to make up the deficit and to get more police officers in Wiltshire and Swindon.

However he revealed at the meeting of the Police and Crime Panel that of the seven MPs for the area only one has given any support to his campaign for a better deal - though he didn't say which one it was!

You can see the recording of the meeting here. The statement is at 49 minutes.

The Panel also agreed to support the increase of £15 in this year's precept, though members were disgruntled at the low level of response to the consultation on the proposal.

The increase means that if you have a Band D property you'll be paying £231 for policing.
