Zeals split by lorry plan

An application by Boyes Transport to use land at Longcross for trailer storage raised strong objections from the local community.

Despite objections from Zeals and Bourton Parish Councils, WC planning officers recommended approval. The decision was made at a planning committee meeting on Thursday June 12th. Agenda.

Supporters said the plans were important for local employment, and would not cause a significant visual impact. Opponents were concerned about increased lorry traffic and the appearance of the site in a 'quiet rural environment'.
